The 8 ft rods came in an unbendable stiff material for shipping. There is no way to bereak or bend the shipping container. Internally it was wrapped in a foam sheeting. This was extremely well packaged. One plastic end cap was broken. I had ordered extras for a just in case. The rod is of high quality which is what I wanted.
