What it is:

The Forest DS assembled hand draw track set with your choice of carrier/slide style and mounting method. The track can easily be cut to size with a hack saw, or if you leave a dimension in the custom cut box, we will cut it.

Features:

  • Heavy duty aluminum track 1/2" high and 1" deep.
  • The DS track has a rounded profile on the front adding a decorative flair. This also hides the splices and bracket clips on the front and allows the track to fit flush against the ceiling. For a larger track that is similar and has decorative wall brackets, see our Invisible track.
  • Rated at 3 lbs per foot. Example, a 10 foot track will hold 30 lbs. This system is suitable for medium and light weight draperies.
  • Available colors are white and black.
  • 90 degree and 45 degree bends are available for this track. See the KS parts page. Be sure to order splices to join the bend with the straight track sets.

Options:

Carrier style:

  • Swivel slides- universal style of slide that can be used with various hooks and curtain styles, including pleated draperies.
  • Swivel slide with attached hook-primarily used with grommet curtains. The inside top of the grommet hole should be 1 1/2" down from the top of the curtain.
  • Large eyelet slide-a slide with a larger hole to accommodate plastic pin hooks for pleated draperies.
  • Wavefold carriers-the wave system is now available on most or our tracks. To learn more, view our wavefold collection page.

  • If Wavefold carriers are selected, you will receive the quantities below. This will often be more than required. Cut the string to remove the excess.

Mounting method

  • Wall brackets-standard brackets are adjustable from a 3"-4" projection. The base of the bracket is 1 1/2" tall. A larger projection is available upon request.
  • Ceiling brackets-7/8" wide and 1 5/8" long.

  • 3 1/2 slides/carriers per foot. See above for number of wavefold carriers

Batons can be added and are available to purchase separately. Hook them on to one of the slides; either the first one on the leading panel edge or its own slide between the first and second slide on the leading edge.
